Slavery by Another Name: Our History and the Fight For Our Rights Today

About this event

Join the WWA Juneteenth Committee for their exploration into the period after the abolition of Enslaving people in the Country, "Slavery by Another Name." This series brings to the surface ways in which policy is shaped to maintain an uneven economic status quo. This second installment will highlight the ways Black people in America found many ways to resist and assert themselves into American history and culture.

This event is the 2nd in the series of WWA Juneteenth Committee events about the true history of US racial policies, community resistance, and how those forces impact Westchester women today.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
