The WWA is a feminist, anti-racist, nonpartisan coalition that advocates on behalf of women in Westchester. We work to ensure that the County's social and economic climate provides women with access, rights, opportunities, and advancement regardless of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
Our focus is on driving change in critical categories which encompass the community's most significant areas of need. The strong, continuous advocacy efforts of our nonprofit and individual members has resulted in new policies, important legislative advances, and increased funding from County and State governments, enabling our under-served and marginalized neighbors to get the services they need.
Over the years WWA has adapted its advocacy efforts to meet the changing lives of Westchester women as new issues emerged, such as digital inequity, climate injustice, new public health threats, and more. Together we advocate for change to ensure Westchester is an equitable, just, and safe community.
