Our Mission

To advocate for policies that empower the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.

What We are Working On

1. Improve black maternal health by working with Sister To Sister Int'l and the County
2. Ensure accurate sex education for all NY youth via advocacy in Albany 
   
3. Expand tele-health access for reproductive care 
4. Fight misinformation and stigma regarding abortion and reproductive health care 
5. Expose fake medical clinics, aka ‘Crisis Pregnancy’ Centers, to protect patients

Accomplishments

• Helped pass the NY ERA (Prop 1) with advocacy actions including events, newsletters, speakers, voter education, administrative and logistical support. WWA participated in the statewide Prop 1/NY ERA coalition and distributed  marketing materials throughout Westchester, held a documentary showing of Plan C with a panel discussion, and worked on election day visibility. As a result, the NY ERA was approved by 62% of NY voters and became a New York State law on 1/1/25. Now let's use it!
  
  
• Hosted WWA online event with Loretta Ross, the academic feminist, MacArthur prize-winner, activist and leader of the reproductive justice movement.
