What We Are Working On

  1. Financial Literacy Workshops - Provided free of charge, by industry professionals, with culturally sensitive curricula and delivery, on a wide array of topics ranging from finance basics and investing, to pay negotiation, retirement planning and avoiding scams.
  2. Non-Profit Financial Tools - Workshops to build the financial skills of non-profit organizations to reinforce strategic goals and strengthen sustainability.
  3. Workforce Initiatives - Connect women, particularly those of color to opportunities in the form of training programs, internships, and other talent pipelines by bridging the gap between community organizations and companies seeking talent to train and hire.
  4. Resource Expertise - Develop a central source of information on available local programs for WWA members and their clients, female entrepreneurs and non-profits. Developing expertise will allow for a more fruitful basis upon which to land future advocacy efforts.
  5. Advocacy - Ultimately FEE would like to support advocacy efforts geared to improving the economic plight of women in Westchester and beyond. These include but are not limited to the PowHer organization and efforts to pass the ERA.
